Flint City Pits

Email preferred.

Flint City Pits is a foster based dog rescue that exists to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome some of the most vulnerable animals in Genesee County. While not restricted strictly to pit bull and bully breed rescue, they are the focal point as they make up the largest demographic of at-risk dogs in the area. We strive to work in partnership with local trainers, a network of volunteers, other rescues, and Genesee County Animal Control to save lives, as well as to train, educate and equip responsible pet owners.

We house stray dogs/cats, accept owner surrenders and have dogs/cats available for adoptions. If you are missing a dog/cat, we urge you to come and search through our stray ward. We keep animals on a 7 day stray hold before they are evaluated, spayed/neutered and offered for adoption to the public.

Pets in Peril

(810) 288-6465

Pets In Peril is a 100% volunteer run, donation based outreach program servicing the city of Flint. Volunteers assist food, water, straw, housing, and sometimes arrange spay/neuter services. For ongoing food assistance we do require that pets be spayed or neutered, not only for the health of the animal but to combat the problem with overpopulation.
